Frosh Soccer Boys and their New Coach

By: Daniel Camano

With a new man in charge, the Tustin boys’ Freshman soccer team’s new coach, David Camacho, is working hard with his players to have a successful season. The season is about to start for the boys and they have been training hard to have a great first season.

Pre-season games have not been going as expected with the boys losing their first game 4-1 against Saddleback High School. In their second game, the freshman boys had a whopping 8-2 victory, getting the “big W”  against Yorba Linda High School. The team’s glory didn’t last too long having lost to Trabuco Hills 4-1, and Beckman High School 1-0, but they managed to come back with a banger against Foothill High School with a 3-1 win. Much of the team isn’t worried due to the fact that it’s pre-season. The real pressure begins when their league actually begins. “Even though they [pre-league games] are must win games, the real challenges will be when the season starts,” claims freshman Defender Albert Martinez.

The boys are focused and determined to have a great season as well as perform greatly in their upcoming pre-season games. Come see them in action during their first home league game against Valencia Friday, the 15th of January.
