88-year-old Paula Navarro was the victim of a hit and run in Calexico, California. Mrs. Navarro is the grandmother of Tustin High School Spanish teacher, Mrs. Maribel Herrera-Olmedo.  The crime occurred on Sunday, May 3 at 6:40 a.m. at Paulin Avenue and East Second Street in Calexico.  Mrs. Navarro was attended by the fire department and flown to Palm Springs. She is currently in critical condition at Desert Regional Medical Center.
